The microcosmic orbit is a breath coordinated energy mechanism within the body. On the in breath it collects in the dantien and moves up the spine from the bottom up to the head. On the out breath the energy sinks down the front channels to return to the dantien. When circulating correctly the lumbar region, the spine, ribs, and the back of the neck flex back as the torso expands on the in breath. The tongue functions as a connecting switch. The further back on the roof of the mouth the closer the energy rotation is to the interior of the body.
