CIRCLE INSTITUTE'S COUNCIL OF DIRECTORS' REPORT

September 23, 2000

It is through the application of the concept of the "conquest of" or "dominion over" Nature that humanity deprives itself of the experience of Nature as Teacher; for it is in the observation of the Natural that the formulation of Universal Laws can be found.

A principle described in Bill Mollison's "Permaculture", The Findhorn Community, Masanobu Fukuoka's "The One Straw Revolution", and even Paolo Soleri's "City In The Image Of Man" is the observation of and communication with Nature to the end of co-operation with it; thereby reducing the workload of maintaining systems that are out of harmony with Nature.

The projects at Circle Institute continue to progress and permutate. The website is useful for keeping up on this aspect; although we admit - like rational thought - it's always a step behind the manifestation.
